GPT Site News, Promotions and Contests

GPT Tutorial Part 2

To start earning, get your computer fully ready so that you are prepared to score the highest crediting percentage for your offers. The following steps are very important if you want to get paid:

1. Use your main email account when signing up for GPT sites so you can be contacted when there are contests running or special announcements. However, do not use your main email when signing up for offers. You will be using a separate email address to complete your offers which will be explained below.

2. If you have a web accelerator turn it off.

3. Make sure to disable all pop-up blockers before completing offers on any GPT site. Here’s How:

Internet Explorer

On the menu bar at the top of your browser, click on ‘Tools’ and then ‘Internet Options’.

A new window will pop up. Now click the tab that says ‘Privacy’ and make sure the option ‘Block Pop-ups’ is UNCHECKED. Afterwards, ‘Ok’ .

Mozilla Firefox

On the menu bar at the top of your browser, click on ‘Tools’ and then ‘Options’.

A new window will pop up. Now click the tab that says ‘Content’ and make sure the option ‘Block Pop-ups’ is UNCHECKED. Afterwards, ‘Ok’ .

4. If you have a firewall, it could interfere with offer crediting as well. If your offers are not crediting, try turning if off and trying again.

5. Use either Internet Exlorer or Mozilla Firefox to complete your offers. I prefer IE, but there are others who find that their offfers seem to credit better when using Firefox. You will need to find out what works best for you.

6. You need to set up your internet settings to accept all cookies. This does not won’t compromise your computer’s security and is an absolute MUST if you want to recieve credit for your offers. This is how the advertisers track offer completion. No tracking, No money.

To accept all cookies in Internet Explorer:

On top of the browser click on “Tools” and then “Internet Options”

A new window should pop up. Click the “Privacy Tab,” there should be a bar under “Settings,” lower the bar to “Accept All Cookies.”

To accept all cookies in Mozilla Firefox:

On the top of the browser click on “tools” and then “Options.”

A new window should pop up. Click the “Privacy” and then the “Cookies” mini-tab. Make sure the “Allow Site to Set Cookies” box is checked and the two boxes below are unchecked. Also, make sure the setting “Keep Cookies” is set to “until they expire.”

VERY IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY!

Only one account is allowed per household. There is no way to get around this, so don’t even try. All of the sites have strict anti-fraud measures in effect to prevent cheating. If they find more than one account on a single IP address you will most likely get banned and lose your earnings. Do not use Netscape or AOL to complete your offers as these generate a non-static IP address and will cause your account to look fraudulent. Do not use a proxy server, like the library or school as this also will cause your account to flag as fraudulent. Do not log into your account from ANY computer but your own home PC.

Now you are ready to start working on your first offer.

1. Log into the GPT site

2. Look for an offer you might like to complete. (I recommend starting with Freebies/100% FREE offers.

3. CLEAR YOUR COOKIES. This is how the companies track if you completed an offer. When you click on the link from whatever GPT you are using, it has your account number embedded into the link. When the offer completes the advertiser’s website places a “Cookie” on your computer, then notifies the GPT site that you completed the offer. It takes a few simple steps to clear your cookies-

a) Go to “Tools” in the taskbar on the top of your web browser.

b) Click on “Internet Options”

c) Click on “Delete Cookies”, “Delete Files”, and “Clear History”

DO THIS BEFORE COMPLETING ANY OFFER, BUT DO NOT CLEAR COOKIES IN THE MIDDLE OF AN OFFER.

Another very popular method of clearing cookies is with a great little program called “Crap Cleaner”. You can download it here for free:

http://www.ccleaner.com/

4. Click on the offer you wish to complete and begin filling out the form. (Don’t forget your handy Robo-Form) You will want to use a separate and unique email for any offers within the same “family” of offers. (For instance, if there are 4 offers from Consumer Promotion Center, you will want 4 different email addresses in order to get credit for all of them. You want the system to recognize 4 separate addresses. Unless you happen to have 100’s of email addresses, you can see how this would get to be problematic. Here is where gmail comes in. We in the GPT industry call this “The Gmail Period Trick” and this is how it is implemented:

You can alternate emails by placing a period anywhere in the beginning of the email address.. Gmail allows you to do this and still send all emails to the same inbox. The advertisers database, however will recognize this as a new and unique account. You can then send yourself “invites” when you want to create a new gmail address. I usually change my gmail addy once a day, and I pick a long name such as:

FirstnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

The next day I will create another one by just adding a number to the end, 1,2,3 etc…

Now, for each offer I do that I need a unique email for I will sign up like this:

Offer 1: F.irstnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

Offer 2: Fi.rstnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

Offer 3: Fir.stnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

Offer 4: Firs.tnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

Once you have run out of places at the end, you can use two periods instead of one, like this:

F.i.rstnameMiddlenameLastname@gmail.com

In this way, you have virtually unlimited email addresses.

6. Complete the offer until you reach the confirmation/completion page (unless stated otherwise in the requirements), and when you are on the confirmation/completion page, STAY on the confirmation/completion page for at least 3 minutes before closing the page. This helps ensure proper tracking and crediting.

7. Close the offer window and you should be back on the site you are working on. Now you are either going to click “mark as complete” or input the email you used when completing that particular offer. Now your offer will go to a pending file where it will either credit automatically, or will be manually credited by the site owner.

That’s it! You’re ready to start the process over and complete another offer!

Offers can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days to credit, so if one doesn’t credit right away don’t panic! Just keep checking back. And remember, nobody has a 100% crediting rate. Not every offer you do will credit. You will find that some sites seem to credit better for you than others, so shop around and find out what “fits” you.

Cash Lagoon has lots of free offers, they also have offers that require a credit card. They have a total of 535 offers worth $2929.23 I like this site because they also pay within 24 hours, usually under that. The minimum amount you can cash out is $5.00. Cash Lagoon is part of a network of a number of websites where you can earn website hosting, domain names, games, prepaid phones/minutes, and one to pay your online gaming subscriptions.

GPT Tutorial Part 1

Step One: Obtain a separate e-mail address.

You WILL be getting hundreds of emails a day once you get going and you do not need them swimming around with your important stuff, like your letters from grandma and your bank account statements. I would recommend gmail: http://mail.google.com It would be good idea to make it a long one.

Step Two: Get a Free Private Phone Number and Voice Mail account.

Why? for the same reason you want an alternate e-mail address. You are giving up your rights to ward off telemarketers. One you have requested info from them, now you are back on their lists. Remember though…they are paying you for this privilege. You sign up for a number within your own area code, and hey…It’s FREE! http://www.privatephone.com this is a good one also http://www.aimphoneline.com

Step Three: Get a paypal account.. Get it verified.

If you already already have one…great. You can skip this step.

If you don’t, then you really should have one. Here’s the link:

http://www.paypal.com

Why do I need this?

Most of the GPT sites out there pay through paypal. It is a legitimate, safe and secure source of funding. While it is possible to do this without a paypal account, (some sites will pay by check or money order, or with a MasterCard gift card) Most site owners prefer to pay their members through paypal. It also helps you immensely in tracking your income.

What if I can’t get a paypal account or I cannot get verified?

The most common reason that someone has for not being able to get a verified account through paypal is that they don’t have a checking account and a credit card.

If you need a checking account, and you cannot get one through traditional means, this site is highly recommended: http://www.accountnow.net if you are having trouble obtaining a checking account.

It will take accountnow about a 7-10 business days before your card and information arrives.

You can use a pre-paid debit card to register as your credit card at paypal. Once you have both of these and you have followed the steps given at the official Paypal site, you will then become “verified. Then, you can then apply for the paypal debit card. Once you have that card, you can withdraw your earnings from any ATM machine.

Step Four: Get Roboform

When you start working on GPT sites, you are going to be filling out alot of forms. ALOT of forms. What roboform does is it saves all your personal information so that when you go to fill out a form, you just click on your roboform toolbar and “Poof!” Your info has been filled in for you just like that. It is a fast, free download. If you don’t have it already….go get it now. Just click here: http://www.roboform.com
